Lisa trained in the Cecchetti method under Lily Vita and has obtained her Intermediate, Advanced 1 and 2 classical ballet certificates. Lisa originally studied gymnastics and competed nationally as a Level 10 gymnast; obtained Level 1-2 coaching, Level 1 judging qualifications and, coached an Elite Junior Squad of gymnasts. Lisa started her classical ballet training in 1985 and went onto complete her Cecchetti teaching qualifications to Licentiate Diploma (L(Dip) CBA – CICB Cert IV).
Lisa is NT Secretary & Treasury Representative to Cecchetti Ballet Australia National Council.
Lisa has been Principal of Darwin School of Ballet since 1998.
Michele trained in RAD Classical Ballet in Victoria and obtained all exams from Primary to Advanced Standard (Hons). Michele also trained in modern ballet, advanced traditional jazz and contemporary dance.
Upon arriving in the Northern Territory in 1996, she has been heavily involved in the Darwin dance scene as a performer, teacher and choreographer. Michele was the Yr 11-12 dance teacher at Casuarina Senior College from 1998-2005. She has performed extensively with Gary Lang’s NT Dance Company along with being a founding Director of NT Dance Company. Michele holds Certificate in Dance Teaching, QUT.

Eliana has been dancing since three years of age starting at Judith Hockaday School of Dance and Drama, England. Eliana undertook classical ballet, tap, modern and national classes being examined under Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus. Eliana and her family relocated to Darwin when she was 10 years old where she continued her classical ballet studies. For five years Eliana taught ballet to students ranging in ages from 3-12 years. After graduating high school Eliana undertook a year of full-time professional studies refining her knowledge in classical ballet and teaching.
Alfiya Pocock - Guest Teacher
National Dance Teacher
Alfiya is an expert teacher in Ukrainian National Dance. Alfiya grew up in Kazakhstan where she studied various styles of national dance. Alfiya successfully auditioned for the Mahabbat National Folk Dance Ensemble (Kazakhstan) and danced professionally with them for five years; performing throughout Eastern Europe. Alfiya has also performed in Russia, Kyrgystan and Kazakhstan. Alfiya has also studied classical ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap and hip hop dance. Alfiya is very passionate about national dance and has enjoyed working with the dancers of Darwin School of Ballet on the Ukrainian National Dance routines.
Sharrynne Glover - Guest Teacher

Sharrynne obtained Levels 1-7 in the Marika Besobrasova Classical Ballet method, Graduate College of Dance in Perth. Sharrynne studied at WAAPA and later performed professionally in and around Perth. Sharrynne obtained her Intermediate and Advanced 1 exams as a dancer and later her Associate Diploma as a teacher, with Cecchetti Ballet Australia. Sharrynne now lives in Queensland traveling to Darwin to guest teach with Darwin School of Ballet. Sharrynne currently teaches at Discovery Coast Dance Centre.
Trudi was born and raised in Darwin. Trudi has been dancing with Darwin School of Ballet since 1999. Trudi has undertaken every Cecchetti Classical Ballet exam from Grade 1 to Intermediate (Hons). Trudi now teaches our Pre-primary, Primary and Grade 6 dancers and inspirers their love and joy of movement. Trudi is currently working towards her Associate Diploma Certificate with Cecchetti Ballet Australia.
